It is quite simple you see
we see what we want to see
from the ocean waves to the forest trees
Each day becomes what we choose to believe
For perspective is a wide open and closed up gate
It is magic and miracles or cynical and fake
for some know doubt and others know faith
So today I choose to see great things!

So true. I love the rhythm here, Carrie, and the sense of resolution and peace you have created that comes with having chosen a path.

Thank you for stopping by Syl and so glad you joined us at the Muse!
DeleteWe see what we want to see. So true. Takes us a while to figure out, and choose what we want to focus on. I am seeing that in how my angst over the climate crisis is turning to gratitude for what is. I prefer the peacefulness and cant fix world leaders anyway. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteThat is what I love about your poetic voice Sherry. It is full of appreciation and focusing on what beauty there is to hold and save!
DeleteWords of wisdom, Carrie. Today, I choose to see great things, like a blue sky on a winter day where I can see the mountains in the distance. There is beauty in that.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wondrous day, Dear Carrie
Beautifully spoken Truedessa! Thank you so much and wishing you the same today and always.

Love your sensible way of seeing things Carrie! We just bother ourselves with things that matter and don't waste time on unimportant or fake things. That's the way to survive with the carry-over of matters from 2021.

For years, a small slatee hung in my kitchen. It said "Count blessings. Choose happy". I packed it away when I moved, but I carry it's message with me always. Each day offers a choice......
ReplyDeleteso true, we make our own realities, and it's more about choice than fate. enjoyed the read
