If only
life could be that way
black and white
no in between
but there is always an in between
grey areas
full of obscurity
questions to be asked
answers that don't always come
a chaos in the order
a madness that sings too loud
near the silence of peace.

Evocative!
ReplyDeleteA good point and well presented. Life is mostly lived in a shade of grey, yet strangely it would be more colourful in stark black and white. Loved this prompt, Carrie . . :)
ReplyDelete. . . added a bit more to mine . . lol
ReplyDeleteI loved the poem especially the ending.
ReplyDeleteI like the direction you took with this. Clever!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the closing lines - they really add something tangible image wise ... and speak of the song life sings, in all its chaotic dis/order ....
ReplyDeleteand I suspect, even as we all sometimes long for the "simple" - either or - black white, that when it all comes right down to it, even in the moment, it's just a question of perspectives ;)
how boring would the world be without stripes? LOL ...
nice interpretation of the image Carrie :)
