How To Know Beauty

Think Tank Prompt #5

You don't need a salon, golden highlights, or curls.

Put away your diamonds, cashmere, and the pearls.

Throw out your mascara, all your powder, and creams.

They only mask what lies underneath.

For the only regimen you really need to start, is to bestow, and behold beauty
through the eyes of your heart.

  3. Thank you signed...bkm, Ruth, and Gwei for reading it. I agree Gwei...we spend so much time worring about the outside we neglect what really needs attention. Hope you all have a great day. :-)

  7. Carrie, this brought back memories of a class I took in college. As a guy looking for an easy course and maybe romance I took a woman's history kind of course that focused on how society shapes the woman of today. I went in with an easy A in mind and I came out with a B having learned much more than the grade. One of the core lessons was centered around your poem's theme. Well done and thank you for the reminder.

  8. Thank you Robert for reading it. It is funny how sometimes the courses that we think will be easy turn out to make us think and learn the most. :-)
