Life Is A Loaded Gun

Sometimes life can seem unforgiving like the trigger of a loaded gun.

You can be in the line of fire no matter where you choose to run.

Every decision and place one tries to be safe and hide,

becomes the target that the bullet will surely find.

This world is full of choices that we can dodge or we can face.

We can confront the open barrel and be shot or just be grazed.

Sometimes life can seem unforgiving like a weapon in a gunman's hand,

but we will never overcome the struggle unless we bravely take a stand.

The Powerful Gentleman

"And he departed from our sight that we might return to our heart, and there find Him.  For He departed, and behold, He is here."  ~St Augustine

He came into this world not on a lion's throne but in a stable with the gentle lamb.
He walked among the many, The One, The great I Am.
He reached into their hearts, and planted seeds of hope with care.
He had a mighty message that He gently had to share.
He did not wear a crown of jewels, nor bear a shiny sword.
He only had a crown of thorns and a cross was all he bore.
He could have put up a great fight, or called the angels to,
but all He said was, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."
Now he stands at your heart's door, and he could break through if He chose,
but He will only gently knock, and then He will quietly go.
Such a powerful decision, Jesus allows us to be the ones to make.
Still powerful He died for all of us, and now our decision Jesus gently awaits.
