Poop Happens

Linking with Poets United for Midweek Motif ~ Change
Hosted by Sumana

Time is making fools of us again. ~J.K. Rowling

One thing is certain
and I am sure of it
that life is
 full
of uncertainties
if you are breathing
then you have learned
this as well
change is inevitable
it happens effortlessly
like slipping in the rain
or spilling popcorn
it could be  painful
or maybe  wonderful
either way
it is coming
as sure as
sand in your shoes
after a beach holiday
you can't run from it
it follows like a puppy
watch out
don't step on the poop
and don't worry
you will
but the sweet thing is
when it licks
 you on the
face
you can't
help
but smile.

  6. I do like dogs and puppies, but I've gotten to the point in my life where I really don't like them licking my face.

    1. I don't blame you. Like anything else we are all different and have unique likes and dislikes. :-)

  7. I won't smile when the poop licks the face! Not even the dog! Not even a baby! Good grief! Can't stop change. Well, maybe I'll smile a little, an ironic grin.

    1. I think a big dog smooch is like a martini...some love it some hate it. So I understand Susan. My point of view on change is mainly just about the basic changes of life...nothing political or of recent events. So I hope our ironic grin can turn into a little smile. I promise not to let my dog lick your face. :-))

  8. It's one thing to step in the poop but do not bring it back home!

  9. Yes, change is the only constant, and can be awful or lovely – and some changes are more dramatic than others.
