Where The River Ends

Our lives are like a river
each flowing a certain stream
as we try to go the distance
to the grand destination
we must reach
there are hazardous
twists and bends
that make us sway
and hard rocks and branches
we must cross along the way
yet we must remember
when we reach the final descent
that where  the river ends
is simply where the ocean does begin...

......and there we shall meet again.

  12. Love how your poem is like the river, flowing, taking us somewhere that doesn't end. --So the hope we (I) have in Christ for eternal life and getting lost in God's vast ocean of love--now we know but a trickle, flowing through each other, bringing us together, leading us there. Beautiful tribute to your friend. Thank you for sharing1 :)
