Beyond Our Recognition

Red Spot II, Wallisy Kandinsky

"I think miracles exist in part as gifts and in part as clues that there is something beyond the flat world we see."
~ Peggy Noonnan

Sometimes we wander through this life distracted by all the mundane,
losing sight of what truly matters, like viewing abstract art we cannot explain.
Gods beautiful artwork is all around us, and miracles could lay at our feet,
yet, we stumble over the obvious not recognizing what could be seen.

  1. So true. We can see beauty everywhere if we only take the time to look for it.

  9. Once again...gorgeous and profound! Thank-you for reminding me of this...the van is sitting in the driveway with the side bashed in...it's all I seem to see no matter where I look;) Thankfully it is still drive-able because we need it!

  11. I absolutely agree Carrie! Someone (maybe Einstein) said we can either view life as if nothing is a miracle or as if everything is. I'm with you - everything!

(not off-line yet, sometime today though)

  13. Sometimes it is hard to realize that we need to get out of our own way, and let miracles happen.

  15. There are far too many distractions in our modern world and it takes a certain kind of discipline to focus on the things that really matter.

  18. Hi Carrie! Thank you for your visit to my blog and kind words. Yes, there are miracles and healings all around us. If we would only take hold of them!

  19. Really Carrie, you MUST write a motivational book. You see beauty and light like no one else. You already have the title of the book - Hope Whispers.

  20. Yes, this is so true..I guess that is why I like to paint not really photo realism but add some abstractions. Somehow there needs to be a "stop and look" button on daily life.I will give my age as I say that the old Dick and Jane books were slow and today kids learn from flashes on a TV. I think the slower pace, as a child, was an advantage, life moves to fast today and some do not even know what they are missing.

  24. I think of it as 'catching glimpses of heaven in unexpected places'. And I can see from my wee visit that you know how to look for that beauty that's all around us.

Enjoyed my first time visit to your hope-filled blog.

I like the quote you posted by Peggy Noonnan.

Wishing you a beautiful day and grace for the journey........
